Association for Computing Machinery - Public Relations Chair
As an avid member of ACM, I actively participate in workshops and events, gaining practical insights into computer science. Contributing to bi-weekly meetings, I discuss the latest trends and technologies. I am also serving as a Public Relations Chair on the E-Board, bringing leadership and passion to the organization's growth.
Secretary for the Aggie MEN Mentorship Committee
Aggie MEN (Male Empowerment Network) supports male students in overcoming obstacles and achieving academic success. It fosters leadership and integrity, helping students progress toward graduation. The program includes mentoring, tutoring, and participation in campus and community events. Kareem serves as the Secretary for the Aggie MEN Mentorship Committee.
Aggies In Technology
As an active member of Aggies in Technology, I lead knowledge-sharing sessions on internships, projects, and career development in the tech industry. These sessions foster collaboration, while meetings with companies and conferences provide valuable networking and industry insights. My goal is to empower members to succeed in their tech careers.
Judge for FIRST Tech Challenge
As a Judge for FIRST Tech Challenge, I evaluated student-built robots with a focus on coding components, particularly in Java. Interacting directly with students, I provided valuable insights to enhance their coding proficiency and improve robot functionality. This role allowed me to contribute to STEM education by supporting students in developing technical skills and fostering a passion for technology and robotics.

Captain of Intramural Basketball
As captain of DreamTeamElite in the NCAT intramural basketball league, I prioritize fun and camaraderie over winning. Despite not being the strongest team, my recruiting skills and ability to connect with others keep our spirits high. We're not just a basketball squad; we're a close-knit crew that knows how to have a good time on and off the court.
Nationwide X TMCF Immersion Program
Participating in the Nationwide X TMCF Immersion event in Ohio was an invaluable experience for me. I explored professional development and personal strengths through seminars and networking opportunities. I was particularly impressed by the positive and passionate work culture at Nationwide.
DevCon 2024
I attended an event by TMCF that focused on empowering freshmen and sophomore students from HBCUs. Over four days in March, DevCon offered crucial skills and insights for corporate success, including leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. I was eager to engage with experts, network, and grow professionally, and I made the most of this opportunity!
African Aggies Coalition
As a member of the African Aggies Coalition, I am actively striving to be more inventive within the club. Embracing my Gambian heritage, I see this as an opportunity to infuse our activities with elements that reflect the richness and diversity of African cultures. I believe that by tapping into my cultural background, I can contribute unique perspectives and ideas that enrich our collective experience.
