Exploring User Emotional Well-Being Across Multiple Social Media Platforms Using Unsupervised Learning: Research Paper
I conducted an extensive study on the impact of social media usage on emotional well-being among young adults, employing exploratory data analysis (EDA) and machine learning clustering techniques. The study used K-means clustering to identify patterns and categorize users based on their social media habits and emotional states. To enhance clustering accuracy, I explored alternative methods like Model-Based and Hierarchical Clustering. Additionally, I developed a custom function in R to evaluate the effectiveness of these clustering models, ensuring precise accuracy calculations and robust findings. The comprehensive analysis and detailed methodology resulted in a 30+ page paper that thoroughly documented the research process, findings, and implications.
Text Mining
I conducted a text mining project on Donald Trump's tweets, analyzing all tweets from his Twitter account from 2009 to 2017. This included sentiment analysis of tweets from the campaign period (2015-06-17 to 2016-11-08). We differentiated between tweets sent through Trump's Android device and those sent through his team's iPhone. Additionally, I created a word cloud highlighting the most frequently used words in his tweets.
Hackathon GUI Applications
At a hackathon, we developed a Java and Python GUI application to address a problem for Chevron. The application helps optimize the selection and quantity of merchandise items to bring to different locations. It provides recommendations based on the specific school and environment being visited, as well as the expected population, ensuring that the right items and quantities are brought for each visit.

My project is a testament to my journey of learning and growth in software development. Using Lucid.app for design and Java with JavaFX for coding, I meticulously crafted a dynamic game from scratch. Through this endeavor, I honed my skills in file reading, GUI design, alert implementation, interface utilization, and inheritance. This solo project challenged me to think critically, problem-solve effectively, and manage the development process efficiently.
